Artist's Statement

My intuitive side takes over when I begin to paint.
This is always the case with my abstract paintings.
Shapes, pattern, color and strong brushwork are important.
I've been using the Universal symbols in my images.
Circle - wholeness
Triangle - goals, dreams and vision
Square - stability, solidity and security
My love and study of Chinese Brush Painting has been a tremendous
influence.
There is much variation in my artwork from realism to abstract.
I work in most media and utilize my printmaking press
for the etching and monoprints.
It's a joy for me to paint.
